J.T. Love's Glory Days - Season 1
J.T Love's Glory Days
J.T. Love's Glory Days is a web series, with songs hosted and performed by Jordan Tyler-Love. Each song is based on retro, nostalgic songs, mainly from nostalgic movies or short subjects, hence the name, "Glory Days". The series was announced in January 2024, once Jordan had announced that JazzHandz! Podcast, which had originally been greenlighted for a third series, in May 2024, had been postponed, due to scheduling conflicts, but this particular series' first episode, She's the Daughter of Rosie O'Grady (made popular by the 1947 Bugs Bunny cartoon, A Hare Grows in Manhattan), premiered on 14th January, followed by 12 more episodes. It is the semi-predecessor to JazzHandz!, however Jordan uses his singing voice to tell his stories.
About the series
A Hare Grows in Manhattan - She's the Daughter of Rosie O'Grady (Season 1, Episode 1, GDSJLS01E01)
She's the Daughter of Rosie O'Grady is a song from the 1947 cartoon "A Hare Grows in Manhattan". Jordan had thought of the idea of the song franchise during the Christmas vacation, as he thought his phase of Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel - Gilmore Girls) made sense. Other people from his acting group, Spectrum, since their recent performance, back in December 2023. Jordan had been praised for his performance as "Wonka" in "A Christmas Carol", plus the Eggleston family, Lily, Ro, their mother Shelley, and Annie Jones, Jordan's former teaching assistant's daughter, for how they believed in him. Jordan got the idea by listening to Ro's song performance. A few days later, when he got home from the cinema, he traced back all the way to the Porky Pig 1945 cartoon, "Trap Happy Porky". The song "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling", where Porky seldom gets any sleep, a bulldog and a group of cats disturb him from his slumber, resulting him in joining in the chorus, as the cartoon irises out. Jordan later practiced part of the same song in his 5 minute Xmas special, "Rory Gilmore Meets Looney Tunes", a mixture between Ms. Bledel, and his amateur version of his Mel Blanc impression.

Her character - Rory, below.
Just over two weeks later, the day after New Year's Day, on his day off, he began watching his favourite franchise. He thought he could take his mind off his podcast, and start a nostalgia show, which led to him thinking further. If legendary Looney Tunes voice, Mel Blanc, and modern predecessor, Eric Bauza, professional voice artist, could recreate that essence, so could amateur, rookie voice actor-in training, Jordan Tyler-Love here.
That following Saturday after watching that same Looney Tunes cartoon a billion times, he had finally gotten to the point to try something other than his acting group. He found the lyrics and began recording his verses. Later that evening, he got the music from the cartoon on DaVinci edited, then removed the audio online. It was then on YouTube, and repeated the same technique, for his future songs.
Summary - Dream:
It is New Year's Day, Jordan had just gotten home from his mother's, he rested, fed up of watching cartoons, so he daydreamed that he was going to Leeds, in the Pudsey district, or at least he thought. He dreamt he was going to meet his no. 1 idol, but after trying walking by foot, he decided to go to sleep....the whole afternoon!
Reality:
Jordan was really trying the find the right storybook for his next comic book, as he felt that Dr. Lady and Mr. Bugg was not the right project for him. Also, the idea of boys being voiced by child actors, is not how he pictures his vision. So, the advice he would tell his adversaries, is, that he prefers comics/graphic novels/picture books, any books with pictures. He has never liked books without pictures, ever. Just ask him, Jordan is like a male Alice in Wonderland, who almost found a moral down an "eh, what's up, doc?" hole.
The Squawkin' Hawk - Someone's Rocking My Dreamboat (Season 1, Episode 2 - GDSJLS01E03)
Original airdate: February 3, 2024
Production details: Third episode produced, second one to air, as this episode, the pilot, and the third episode below were all ideally based, from December 27, 2023. These next two episodes were complete by February 2, 2024.
The original picture, of which had Jordan dreaming of having a girl of his own, was originally supposed to appear as the song's title cover, but due to controversial reasons, at a point where it could make viewers uncomfortable, and the fear that Jordan would lose subscribers, the idea had been scrapped.
This is the current picture of Jordan singing in black and white, as a last minute idea.
Jordan was dreaming of meeting his new deal sign, but the cloud has a mind of its own. Should Jordan succeed, he would have to outsmart the cloud. At 10am, Jordan wakes up and decides, that it would not work out, as it would jeopardize his dream job. There'll be other chances to make his match.
Reality:
Jordan knew he had to put away his big ideas, as Lil' Hot Finster was put back in the J.T. Love Industries vault. He had also declared that he prefers board games to video games. "So, why not do some board game pieces of art?", he thought. He thought of it right away.
Trivia:
This song was first released back in 1941.
The Squawkin' Hawk was the first Looney Tunes short to bear this song in the entire cartoon, as Henery argues with his mother over a measly looking worm. That said song was used in five more cartoons: A Tale of Two Kitties, The Big Snooze, Roughly Squeaking, Gorilla My Dreams and Kiddin' the Kitten.
The cartoon female Jordan was originally supposed to use as a caricature was DC Animation's Supergirl, as seen in her redesign from the 2005 episodes of Justice League Unlimited, but as a redesigned brown haired girl, then a blondie.
She was supposed to be a siren, but to lure Jordan to his new "reality". As Jordan sang the second chorus: "All at once a storm drew us apart, and left me drifting alone....." The cloud took her orders, drifted Jordan to another dream deal sign. This idea had also been shelved.
Supergirl (Nicholle Tom - Beethoven, The Nanny) had yet been an inspiration for Jordan's first female superhero, Sheena Starwell - Starwell, Girl Wonder. Based on her, his older cousin-in-law and mixture of Alexis Bledel and her character, Rory Gilmore. Which will hopefully, be Jordan's next comic in the works.
Baby Puss - You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby (Season 1, Episode 3 - GDSJLS01E02)
Original airdate: February 3, 2024
Lyrics by: Harry Warren and Johnny Mercer
Production details: Second episode produced, third episode released.
This was undoubtedly supposed to be the first song to air in both production and release order, as Jordan had planned the show since during the rehearsals of the Spectrum Christmas show. He was going to ask his music teacher if he'd be able to share it with the group. He then showed his family instead. They enjoyed the rough draft he had recorded.
A few weeks later, around January, Jordan had gone through the music of Carl Stalling (one of Jordan's favourite musicians) and Scott Bradley. Although three of the Looney Tunes shorts had adequate scores, they were not right for his cover. Eventually, he went for the score from "Baby Puss (1943)" composed by Bradley, known for Tom and Jerry classic animation.
Summary:
Dream - Jordan tries to sing this to his youngest niece, as a pre-birthday gift to cheer her up as he had not seen her during Christmas.
Reality - Jordan wanted to impress his friends at his theatre group. He had held it in for so long, he just wanted to give everyone an example of his taste in nostalgic tunes.
Trivia:
This song was originally sung by the legendary Bing Crosby, whose version had become a huge hit back in the 1930s and has since become a cult classic.
Elmer Fudd sung a "special" verse in "The Hardship of Miles Standish (1940)", where his character John Alden, sings a telegram to the tune of this song to his sweetie, Priscilla, as a letter from Miles Standish.
There is no character or daydream big enough, as this was supposed to be the pilot. This episode, the previous two episodes, and the next episode have all been produced in 2023 (December) hence why they say part MMXXIII-MMXXIV. Nothing fancy about this episode, as it is only a cover rather than a song based on a plot. From all other episodes, starting with the next one below, will have been produced in 2024.
Some Sunday Morning - (Season 1, Episode 4 - GDSJLS01E04)
Original airdate: February 3, 2024
Music by M.K. Jerome and Ray Heindorf
Lyrics by Ted Koehler
Production order: This is the final song to be produced in 2023. All future episodes through this season and Season 2 would now be produced in 2024.
This was originally supposed to picture of Jordan resting on his balcony, but unfortunately, that idea was replaced with a sunny farm background.
Summary: Jordan is taking a break from modern stuff, as he feels more open-minded and obligated to try something new - experimenting something outside of comfort zone, a bit of relaxation. He heads off to Chesterfield for a few hours. But daydreams about his favourite celebrities along the way.
Trivia:
This song was first introduced in "The Big Snooze (1946)" where Bugs invades Elmer's dreams, then the song was used in other shorts, most notably in "Easter Yeggs (1947)" and "Each Dawn I Crow (1949), both featuring Elmer Fudd also.
The music Jordan had used was the title and ending music score from the latter short.
A Hunting We Will Go - (Season 1, Episode 5 - GDSJLS01E05)
Original airdate: February 4, 2024
Traditional
Production order: This is the first episode to be produced and released in 2024, as this song was a straightforward idea, and easy.
The background used in this song and the next one is based on the opening title card, "What Makes Daffy Duck? (1948)", hence why Jordan chose to use the opening music as it was very easy to use. No tracing whatsoever.
Summary:
Dream - Jordan is dreaming of having Duck L'Orange, as advertised in Illumination's recent, but a box-office bomb release "Migration (2023)", which had just been released this February over in the Union Jack.
Basically, real-life versions of Mac (Kumail Nanjiani) and Pam (Elizabeth Banks - Hunger Games and the Lego Movie franchise), their children (Tresi Gazal and Caspar Jennings), Uncle Dan (Danny DeVito - Matilda, The Lorax), and Delroy (Keegan Michael Key - Mario Movie franchise) were flying somewhere Jordan was hiking in the Peak District. Jordan had noticed Gwen (the duckling who had refused to do her business in the sky in the actual movie), literally did the opposite, but Jordan ducked before he noticed the faeces landed on the chef's (Boris Rehlinger) head instead. Jordan laughed boisterously, but before the chef could attack him, Jordan had hidden in a bus shelter. Not just any shelter, a certain one in real life. He was waiting in line for 218 back to Sheffield. One of the passengers threw their fish and chips container at the chef, not noticing him at all, animation or real. The Chef screamed his way back into the "Illumination" verse, injured and all. Good riddance. Jordan woke up, it was only a dream.
Reality - Jordan was doing a special arrange for his childhood friend, a week later, had duck, and watched Migration. As Jordan was in a rush to see his niece and nephew, he realized that the movie was not a good one, it was indeed the second worst Illumination movie, he and his friend had ever seen. The Mario Movie was the better movie for both. Not as bad as "Hop (2011)" or the recent "Madame Web (2024)", despite that movie's failure, he liked Dakota and Sydney better.
He would eventually discover a few voice actors usually in the additional voices, such as Brian T. Delaney (Illumination's second regular), Michael Beattie (Illumination's lucky charm) and Nora Wyman (whom Jordan had started to recognize and take a liking to), that were not in this particular Illumination movie.
However, he hopes that Joey King (Ramona and Beezus, The Kissing Booth trilogy, Bullet Train) will surpass her performance as Poppy in Despicable Me 4. At least Jordan hopes Illumination had better smarten up, or he will start making cheesy reviews. Sydney Sweeney and Joey King had Jordan impressed with them both. It may not make a lot of sense, but this is how Jordan tells most of his stories, at least since he was 15.
Trivia:
This song shares the same tune as "The Farmer in the Dell/Den" a slightly overrated, yet complicated nursery rhyme.
Not only used in the WB cartoons, such as "What Makes Daffy Duck (1948)", and others such as "Daffy Duck Hunt (1949)", "To Duck or Not to Duck (1943)", "Quack Shot (1954)" and the MGM cartoon, "Lucky Ducky (1948)", as well as the Donald and Goofy cartoon, "The Fox Hunt (1938)".
Joey King will later be mentioned in a later episode.
King for a Day - (Season 1, Episode 6 - GDSJLS01E06)
Original airdate: 4 February 2024
King for a Day
Music by Ted Fio Rito
Lyrics by Sam Lewis and Joe Young
Summary:
Dream - It's Valentine's Day, and Jordan is not really fond of it. So, Jordan is asleep at 2am, dreaming of his next One Man Show, he would impress his friends, especially his proud family. The next hour, Jordan sang this as his third song, the talent scout in the corner (played by an unknown agent), quietly writes her review in the audience. Jordan takes a bow as he tells the audience that he is taking a 15-minute intermission. The agent comes up to Jordan and tells him that he will have a bright future ahead of him, despite his age. He wakes up, the following morning, in reality, it was only a dream.
Reality - Jordan is trying to impress his group at Spectrum, so he can make sure he can actually be professional, rather than "act professional". There is real difference of the story here. He decides to see if he could think over the hiatus of the "One Man Show" to reduce the pressure. He does this by watching an episode of Night Court (the reboot, not the original).
PROMO: Jordan Tyler-Love's One Man Show has been greenlighted for a third and fourth sequel, but will be hiatus until Fall 2025, replacing the original "Lil' Hot Finster" YouTube release date.
Trivia:
The recording date was a week before Valentine's Day, but Jordan wanted to get his mind off it by singing another retro tune.
This song is by far, one of the least popular song, Jordan drew his attention to. However, there are other future songs Jordan would also sing, that he wouldn't feel comfortable with.
"Night Court (2023)" is a reboot of the original 80s classic, but Jordan prefers the reboot, as Melissa Rauch's character Abby Stone, performed appropriately, yet impeccably better than her performance as Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz in the popular, yet seriously overrated "Big Bang Theory" franchise. She is later referenced in a few other later songs.
Pleased to Meet You, Friend - (Season 1, Episode 7 - GDSJLS01E07)
Original airdate: February 8, 2024
Based on an original instrumental score from Milt Franklyn.
© 1954, 1955, 2024 Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc.
Amended Lyrics by: Jordan Tyler-Love.
Production: Jordan had literally thought of doing his own "silly song", and he knew this tune was it.
He had been working for Flycheese for five years, since 2019, and he knew since he needed big ideas for his next project. He revealed during production on this show, that this would be a temporary sideshow. However, due to scheduling conflicts with other projects and reassembling his unit at J.T. Love, Jordan now considers his musical sketch show, as already acknowledged that "JazzHandz! Podcast" is on hiatus.

Jordan is tasking how many voice actors are in a loop group. This is so he can be courteous and professional at the same time in order to focus on things. Also, this is the start of his official voiceover reel. He thinks he can top off a "Lady C" impression, thus mocking the infamous Seth Rogen laugh. He just needs to take it, day by day. The male voice actors are referenced later on in another episode.
B-Story:
Jordan is planning what else he would like to accomplish before reality bites both his yin and yang in the butt. But where to find new ideas, without infringement?
Meanwhile, Jordan tries to impress his group once more with another new idea. Will Jordan be able to up the ante in reality, and face his fears by building up more confidence? Or will he start to brag and exaggerate? Tune in for the next story.
Trivia
- This song is based on the cartoon "Hare Brush (1955)", as Jordan wanted to try and see if it worked out.
- The ending song of that same titular cartoon, a cover of "The Bunny Hop", will be used later in a special episode.
Lullaby of Scarborough - (Season 1, Episode 8 - GDSJLS01E09)
Adapted from the song "The Lullaby of Broadway" by Harry Warren
Amended lyrics by: Jordan Tyler-Love.
Production:
Jordan wanted to do a little ditty of his favourite beach. He always loved the smell of the sea and to "ride 'em, boaty!", as they say. But since he prefers Scarborough, Bridlington and Skegness, to a lesser extent, than Whitby or the desserted island village they call a "beach", Cleethorpes, why not?
The music Jordan needed was going to need to be taken in desperate measures. He thought sailing could be a way to get away from it all. In a B-story, Jordan had still tried to look for a new horizon within, and underneath, if this makes sense.
This is the ninth episode in production order, but the eight to be released.
Summary:
Dream - Jordan was off the train with his mate for the weekend on one of his birthdays, one sunny week in August, he knew the first thing he wanted to do was sail.
But little did he know that one of his favourite celebrities from Los Angeles, Riki Lindhome, was coming to perform a sea ditty for her British fans. Jordan had always wanted to meet her.
A few hours later, once Jordan had gotten himself ready, a security guard came knocking on their hotel room door. His friend asked, "What seems to be the problem, mate?" The guard wanted to see Jordan immediately. Jordan then asked, "Have I not paid for me ticket, dude?". The guard had then pointed out, "It's not that, sir, or you being in trouble. Ms. Lindhome needs your help. Kate Micucci is unable to book a flight from Leeds Bradford Airport back to LA. Could Riki possibly stay the night?"
Jordan was delighted. As Garfunkel and Oates had sung their seaside ditty, Jordan knew it was time to head back to the hotel. It was nearly 11pm, and the friends' train back to Sheffield was early that Sunday.
The next morning, as the two guys enjoyed their morning Fish and Chips with curry, they made their way back to Scarborough train station, just in time, only to realize the train they were boarding, wasn't the train they expected. It was a mystery train. As the doors shut, he realized Riki and Kate were on the same train, with some other familiar faces. The conductor was Big Zuu who said to the guys, "This is an express train, bruvs, headed for Meadowhall for you, Sheffield for your friend, and London Heathrow for the fellow celebs! What d'you think of that, mates?"
"Thank you!", the guys said. Jordan was not tired, but he decided to stay awake, as it was his "dream within a dream". Jordan then asked the blonde beauty for her autograph. She signed his fanart. You see, she and Kate were going to be guests on Lorraine Kelly's vacation morning special, the next day.
"Thank you, Ms. Lindhome. I will never forget you." Jordan had gotten off at Meadowhall station, platform 1. He waved goodbye as Riki, Kate, Big Zuu, Davina McCall, Cat Deeley, Jenny McCarthy, Chelsea Handler, Kendra Wilkinson, Jordan North, and Toronto voice actors Ron Rubin, Lenore Zann, Cal Dodd, alongside LA favourites, Rosario Dawson and Natasha Leggero, LA voice actors Eric Bauza, Jessica DiCicco, JP Karliak, and Vancouver voice actor, Nicole Oliver all waved back, as the train was heading for London Kings Cross station.
Jordan realized it was time to go back home, but because 75 was hourly, he went to his mother's home.... The next morning, he wakes up in his own apartment. Again, it was only a dream. But an exciting one! He hopes to meet Garfunkel & Oates in reality, someday.
Reality - Jordan is thinking about what to do for his next birthday, canal or seaside trip. In a B-story, Jordan was already finding a way to continue his stories, to be precise during inventory. It was a hard job, but all the good to take his mind off group activities.
Trivia
- Jordan had originally dreamed of Euphoria, but due to an experience with the show that had traumatized him, the project was indeed scrapped due to personal reasons.
- Jordan, in reality, goes through an annual summer trip, nearly every year, and has been doing most since 2015. His favourite beaches are Scarborough and Bridlington.
- Jordan is still a fan of both Garfunkel and Oates in real life, most known for their TV and movie appearances, since he is fond of Riki as Valerie in Wednesday, and Kate as Webby in the DuckTales reboot.
Production: Just a basic nursery rhyme, and the second one in the series.
The music is taken from the intro of the 1950 Sylvester short, "Stooge for a Mouse".
Summary: None whatsoever, as this song is easy and simple.
Trivia: The short is heard in two other shorts, the latter of which are Hubie and Bertie cartoons, by Chuck Jones: "Mouse Wreckers" and "Cheese Chasers".
This is one of the songs Jordan preferred, out of the nursery rhymes in the series.
