Goldichicken and The Three Foxes - character profile

 Goldichicken and the Three Foxes

Goldichicken and The Three Foxes is an upcoming stop-motion animation, produced and directed by Jordan Tyler-Love. A J.T. Love Industries and Flycheese co-production. It is a retelling adaptation of Goldilocks and The Three Bears, but with a chicken and a family of foxes, Pa, a quick-tempered, no-nonsense, arrogant brown fox. Ma, a patient, yet down-to-earth red vixen. And Junior, a happy-go-lucky, oversized, yet adorable, 5-year-old cub.

Set somewhere in a retro Ontario-type woodlands, the three pay homage to the 1940s Chuck Jones retro shorts, characters and personality.

This will be Jordan Tyler-Love's third original stop-motion animated short feature, after Fazuki's Doom of Slush and YockyWocky World, which were created at his former Alma Mater, Rotherham College, and his first official short at Flycheese.

The idea was originally pitched in 2018, when Jordan was thinking ideas of fairy-tale adaptations, the first idea was a retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk, named Walter and the Peastalk, starring his little cousin, but after a few hours of typing a script, it just wasn't the right story. So while designing prototype arts at his local social group, as he had watched the cartoons at home a few hours before that evening. Jordan thought that this fairy adaptation had suited best. An easy seven-to-nine minute animated feature.

A year later in November 2019, just 4 months after Jordan had graduated, he began typing the script, whilst he watched Bugs Bunny and the Three Bears, 1944, and The Bee-Deviled Bruin, 1949. The idea had really came to fruition. What if he did a remake mixture of both shorts.

In September 2020, as Allistair's project was complete, we got started into production, Jordan explained to the group about what the project was about, gave a screening, and he began on the storyboard.

Later down that year, once the storyboard was complete, new student Corey joined and began using Gary's Mod, which was surprising and similar to Minecraft and Roblox, in turn Jordan took the downloads of Corey's animatics.

When Jordan began designing the characters' body parts from card, Jordan and Alistair had discussed emotions. Jordan then chose a character mouth templates, to which he based the mouth shapes on.

The short is due for release in Fall-Winter 2022, as usual, animating 2 feet apart from each other. Like Lanny Vs. DinoMite, this will also pay homages to the late 40s-early 50s Chuck Jones cartoons.

Meet the Characters

Pa Fox

Papa "Henry Wilson" Fox is the no-nonsense, quick-tempered, arrogant, loud-mouthed, yet violent patriarch brown fox, who is the leader of the fox pack. When agitated, he will either yell at or punch Junior, or snap at his wife. Despite his son, slightly enlarged than him, he is seriously greedy and overweight himself and is the most vicious predator out of the family. But when he is easily defeated by his prey, he ends up showing emotion, when going crazy to check his fridge. He is not very supportive of his wife, and is not a very good father to Junior, either, but deep down he shows sympathy and cares for both of them, though he does not show that, often. But in the end, he does admit defeat.

Name and personality wise, he is named after and based on Pa Bear from the Looney Tunes "Three Bears" series. His voice is a mix of Billy Bletcher (known as Looney's Pa Bear, Spike, Big Bad Wolf from Disney, etc.) and Mel Blanc's Yosemite Sam voice. He, along with Junior, and the narrator will be voiced by Jordan Tyler-Love. His real name is named after Tex Avery's storyman, from the beginning 1942 to 1947, then again from 1952 to 1955, Heck Allen.

Ma Fox

Ma "Frieda" Fox (née Vixen) is the sympathetic, absent-minded, naive, yet quiet red vixen. She is the patient matriarch of the family, and is very devoted to her husband, even if he is domestically abusive to her.

She first met him during the Fox gathering of '88, where her mother was not approval of him, because of how bad a temper he has, and the fact how unmanly-like he is. This is because she'll worry how bad they'll raise her grandson. Unfortunately, this is how she acts today, clueless ad unaware. Unlike, her Looney Tunes counterpart, who is then aware of how she feels about Bugs, she is completely oblivious, except then to comfort Junior. Not much else is known about her.

Name and personality wise, she is named after and based on Ma Bear from the Looney Tunes "Three Bears" series. However, it is unknown whether or not Jordan will hold out auditions.

Junior Fox

Henry Wilson Allen Fox, Jr., better known as Junior, is the happy-go-lucky, oversized, jolly, giddy 5-year-old orange fox cub. He is the dimwitted member of the family, is extremely ignorant towards his father, this is because, once threatened, he will either cry or yell, or just frown. He is also very gullible, because how his father is very strict and abusive, he tricks him spitefully, e.g. his 4th birthday cake wasn't a real cake. Although, not very bright, he can write, read, but has very bad grammar, just like his Looney Tunes counterpart, Junyer Bear, "G-U-N-P-O-W-D-E-R, that spells tobacco".

Not much is known about him, as we do not know where he goes to school, or why he is friendlier than his father. But, family wise he takes more after his mother, rather than his father.

Name and personality wise, he is named after and based on Junyer Bear from the Looney Tunes "Three Bears" series. His voice is modeled after Stan Freberg, who based the voice on Lenny from Of Mice and Men, and used the same voice for Benny in the 1950s shorts Hoppy Go Lucky, ad Cat-Tails for Two.

Goldichicken

Goldichicken, or Goldie, for short is the main antagonist in this feature. Unlike most baby chicks, her feathers are orange, instead of yellow, in order to have her design more like Goldilocks. The original design of her, was a light cream hairdo, yellow feathers, and an orange beak and claws.

She is an orphan chick, with no mother, father or siblings. She is 5 years old. Not much is known about her, except when hatched, her nest is empty, absolutely deserted. She has had a completely checkered past, which resulted her in almost getting eaten by a fierce wolf, and no, not the one who pursued Little Red Riding Hood (Little Red Kitty Hood in the J.T. Love Industries version.)

However, her role here is not only to invade the foxes, but to find shelter. For this story, Goldichicken, is just one of the villains who just win in the end. For instance, she flees, scared, rather than to be eaten.

Production and Reference Info

Charlotte D'Arcy, one of the team leaders at Flycheese, will be the producer, however, it is stated that this is a team effort, therefore, billing the team, "Produced by Flycheese Studio, in Polacolor. " Both Jordan and Allistair Clayton will serve as animators, in addition to Jordan Tyler-Love directing.

Jordan will also be holding auditions, whilst becoming the scratch voices for Ma and Goldichicken.

Jordan also hopes that this will be a better success for J.T. Love Industries, an improvement that would be compared to Fazuki. But all good stories take time, and good things come to those who wait.

J.T. Love Industries - making stories travel to great destinations.
